Inspiring Communities to Save Wildlife for Future Generations
The mission at Denver Zoo has always been to inspire communities to save wildlife for future generations. For our visitors, we bring science learning to life. We spark curiosity and create connections with animals and nature. We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization that develops education, conservation and sustainability programs to ensure a future for animals.
With a gift that makes an impact now — a gift that costs you nothing now, a gift that pays you income, or a gift that reduces your taxes — you are helping educate future generations to understand the importance of the natural world around us.
Denver Zoo partners with organizations like the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) and the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA) to not only support our animals, but to also promote awareness about threats to wild animals and wild places through onsite education.
Each of the nearly 3,000 animals at Denver Zoo receives the highest standard of care. However, our efforts to protect and care for animals goes beyond the gates of our zoo. We’re saving animals and their habitats throughout the U.S. and the world with field conservation projects. In fact, we’re actively involved in 600 conservation projects in 62 countries on six continents!
